We make a charge for a survey because that is all we do – surveying. This means that you get independent advice, unlike others who have a vested interest in finding problems with their ‘free’ survey.
The applicable fee includes the survey, diagnosis of problems found (if any) remedial advice (if required) budget costs (if required) and a written report.
We will only tell you of a problem if there REALLY is one. Academy Remedial Surveyors are not contractors who carry out work meaning we have no financial interest in looking for work or problems that do not exist. Our mission and object is to inspect, diagnose and provide opinion of problems reported by others or, to inspect for pre-sale purposes to determine if any problems exist.
